The Andalusian Circular Bioeconomy Strategy, published on September 18, seeks to promote the creation of bio-industries and bio-refineries and increase the consumption of bioproducts and bioenergy in Andalusia.
The document has been redacted by the Counselling of Agriculture, Fisheries and Rural Development of Andalusia goverment. More than 50 experts in the field have participated, with the collaboration of the Economics and Knowledge; Employment, Business and Trade and Environment and Territorial Planning departments.
The main objective of the Strategy is to contribute to the growth and sustainable development of Andalusia by promoting actions aimed at promoting the production of resources and renewable biological processes. The strategy has three major strategic objectives: To increase the availability of exploitable biomass, to increase the number of bio-industries and to favor the consumption of bioproducts and the opening of their markets.
The strategy shows there is a new way of producing and responding to current environmental, social and economic challenges, and it generates opportunities for economic development and employment.
