The European Commission publishes the EU research and innovation funding programme Horizon 2020 during 2018-2020

The European Commission has presented the final Work Programme for Horizon 2020, covering the budgetary years 2018, 2019 and 2020 and representing an investment of around €30 billion. (Press Release)

The 2018-2020 Work Programme will focus efforts on fewer topics with bigger budgets, directly supporting the Commission’s political priorities:

A low-carbon, climate resilient future
Circular Economy
Digitising and transforming European industry and services
Security Union

Societal Challenge 2: Food security, sustainable agriculture and forestry, marine and maritime and inland water research and the bioeconomy. More than 1.300 millions of EUR for the financing of research and innovation projects about sustainable food security (SFS), Blue Growing (BG) and Rural Renaissance (RUR). The first calls will close on 13^th February 2018. The calls are available in the following link.

Societal Challenge 3: Secure, clean and efficient energy. More than 2.200 millions of EUR focused on clean energy, energy efficiency and electric mobility. The Work Programme is available in the following link.

Societal Challenge 5: Climate action, environment, resource efficiency and raw materials. More than 1.100 millions of EUR to projects focused on the transition towards a greener economy, efficient in the resources and resilient to climate change.
