The IRODDI Project presents its achievements in an unpublished video at its final conference

The IRODDI project (Innovative Refining process for valorization of vegetable Oil Deodorizer DIstillates), funded by the Circular Bio-based Europe Joint Undertaking (CBE JU) within the #Horizon2020 Research and Innovation programme of the European Union, held on 8 June 2023 its final conference under the title ‘Valorisation of vegetable oil refining by-products into sustainable bioproducts‘ and BIOPLAT, as responsible for communication and dissemination of the consortium, played a decisive role in the organisation.

During this side event, which took place in the context of the 31st EUBCE – European Biomass Conference & Exhibition in Bologna (Italy), an unpublished video was launched to summarise the main objectives and achievements of the project and the potential uses and benefits of the technology developed to boost its adoption. This final video, in which representatives of three of the project partners (TECNALIA Bioeconomy and CO2, Kliner Professional and BIOPLAT itself) participated, was one of the milestones of the project in terms of communication and dissemination. Recorded in two languages, Spanish and English, it aims to bring the technology and its benefits closer to potential end users in a more attractive way.

The #IRODDI project has focused on the development of greener and gentler processes for obtaining bioproducts with specific properties derived from FFAs contained in deodorisation distillates (DODs), the secondary streams of deodorisation processes.
