Mondelēz International will reuse the whey left over from the production of ‘Philadelphia’ to produce biogas.

In this way, they are seeking to reuse one of the by-products of cheese production to cover part of the electricity supply required at their plant in Hospital de Órbigo (León), where 32,000 tonnes are produced each year, 61% of which is exported.
